HREIT delegation made an unannounced visit to the Custodial Prison of İzmir Karaburun District Directorate of Security on 14 October 2024 within the scope of national preventive mechanism mandate.
Treatment and housing conditions of the patients were evaluated in the context of national and international standards within the scope of the visit.
Following the visit and the interviews, a report including the findings and recommendations regarding the inspections and interviews will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
