The Women’s Rights Symposium was held by our Institution on the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day.

The Symposium program started with the opening speech of our Chairman Prof. Dr. Muharrem Kılıç.

Emphasizing that women’s rights are not only a problem of today, but humanity has been in a great test on women’s rights since history, Prof. Dr. Kılıç said; from the perspective of rights and freedoms, he stated that there are very divine, sublime and valuable areas of struggle, and said, "The struggle in the field of women’s rights, in particular, is the flagship, source of inspiration and reference point of the general struggle for human rights, the struggle for rights and freedom. In fact, we see that this struggle is a very humane thing. That is the demand for equality." he said.

Prof. Dr. Kılıç also stated that our Institution contributed to the Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation Meetings of Combating Violence Against Women and said, " We take the principle of equality as a basis for all citizens to benefit from all rights and freedoms on the basis of equality without any discrimination, based on human dignity. On the 15 basis, we perform an important duty to ensure that all citizens benefit from their rights equally. It is necessary to record that, as Türkiye, we carry the important achievements of women in terms of political participation and other rights and freedoms, almost a quarter of a century ago, as an honorable engagement certificate in our history." said.
