The HREİT Delegation conducted an unannounced visit to İzmir City Hospital Prisoner and Detainees Ward part of its national preventive mechanism mandate on 15 April, 2025.
During the visit, information was first obtained from the authority of the institution. Afterwards the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing those who are deprived of their liberties and the personnel in charge.
As a result of visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations regarding the examinations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and public.
