Today, many civilian lost their lives as a result of Israel targeting a marketplace in Nuseirat Refugee Camp hosting civilians in Gaza. In recent days, unceasing bombings of Israel on areas such as places of worship, hospitals, schools and marketplaces where civilians are located has become an atrocity in violation of international human rights law and humanitarian law. It is evidently a crime against humanity that Israel targets civilians without distinction of children, women and elderly, kills innocent Palestinian people widespread and systematically, forces most of them to immigrate, annihilates ancient places of worship regardless of the religion to which they belong and destroys the infrastructure of Gaza. It should be known that the perpetrators of these actions carried out in front of the world are responsible within the framework of international criminal law.

These systematic, encompassing and disproportionate acts of violence aimed at destruction, carried out by Israel as a state policy against Palestinian civilians, constitute a war crime. In this regard, all international institutions and organizations, especially the member states of the United Nations (UN) should take a more constructive attitude towards upholding human dignity and human rights in the face of this historical tragedy.

As the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye, we strongly condemn this acts of violence, which are conducted systematically against civilian people in Gaza and constitute a war crime, and we call states, international organizations and international community to demonstrate more sensibility against this atrocity.
