The HREIT Delegation, headed by Board Member İsmail Ayaz and consisted Vice Chairperson of the HREIT Yılmaz Bölükbaşı, Coordinator of the NPM Department Mehmet Alp Didinmez, Judge Merve Soylu Çakı, Assistant Experts Salih Günay, Oktay Alkan and Gülsün Uludağ Abay and Psychologist Aylin Öztabur conducted a visit to Ankara West Courthouse Prisoner Waiting Rooms as part of its national preventive mechanism mandate.

During the visit, firstly the delegation received information from the officials. Then the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing those who are deprived of their liberties and the personnel in charge. As part of the visit treatment to the detainees and detention conditions were examined in line with national and international standards.

As a result of the visit, report containing the assessments and recommendations regarding the examinations and interviews held during the visit will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
