On 23-24 September 2024, the first face-to-face meeting of the ENNHRI Artificial Intelligence Working Group was held in Brussels, Belgium with the aim of strengthening the work of European National Human Rights Institutions on artificial intelligence and human rights. A representative from our Institution participated the meeting.
On the first day of the meeting, the activities of the working group members in the field of artificial intelligence were discussed, and recent developments in EU and regional legislation were shared. In addition, ideas were exchanged on which topics the group could focus on in the future.
On the second day of the meeting, a training was organized on the roles that National Human Rights Institutions should undertake regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on human rights, and a workshop on this topic was held.
