A special meeting of the national human rights institution/national preventive mechanism was held in Geneva on 16 July 2024, within the scope of the 80th Session of the United Nations Committee Against Torture. The meeting was attended by a delegation consisting of our Chairman Prof. Dr. Muharrem Kılıç, National Prevention Mechanism Unit Coordinator Mehmet Alp Didinmez and Assistant Expert Sait Ceylan.

At the meeting, our Chairman Prof. Dr. Muharrem Kılıç made a presentation about our Institution’s activities on the prevention of torture and ill-treatment. Following the presentation, questions submitted by Committee members were answered.
