An online meeting was held with the representatives of the Directorate for EU Affairs and project experts within the scope of the Project on Strengthening the Coordination of the Fundamental Rights Sector, which is a beneficiary of the Department of Political Affairs of the European Union Presidency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is the Leading Institution regarding the Fundamental Rights Sub-area of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Financial Assistance (IPA).

Within the scope of the project, which started on January 18, 2022 and will last for 24 months, it was learned that activities such as establishing the Fundamental Rights Sector Coordination Platform to increase the cooperation between the stakeholders in the field of fundamental rights regarding the implementation of projects, increasing the capacity of the Lead Institution and the members of the Fundamental Rights Sector Coordination Platform on fundamental rights, raising the awareness of the stakeholders and the public in the field of fundamental rights were planned to take place.

Representing the Directorate for EU Affairs, EU Expert Umut Azak and EU Expert Cemre Artan Koç, Technical Assistance Team Leader Hakan Shearer Demir, Capacity Building Key Expert Sanem Baykal, Project Assistant Mina Köksoy and as representatives of our institution International Relations and Project Unit Coordinator Ezgi Kaşkaval Okyay, Assistant Experts on Human Rights and Equality Fatma Sueda İman and Sevde Şengül participated in the meeting.
