The delegation consisting of HREIT and Ukrainian Ombudsman officials, who signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation areas, visited Antalya Fethi Bayçın Nursing Home within the scope of the National Preventive Mechanism mandate.

Coordinators Mehmet Alp Didinmez and Ezgi Kaşkaval Okyay and Social Worker Şeyma Gündür from the TİHEK Delegation, Ombudsman Representative Nataliya Borodych and NPM Deputy Chairman Maksym Malyshev from the Ukrainian delegation took part in the visit.

After receiving information from the Nursing Home Director Abide Tutum, the delegation examined the physical conditions of the Institution, the treatment of detainees, health services, measures taken against the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination process, nutritional conditions, social activities, daily life and communication with the outside world according to international standards. One-on-one interviews were held with the residents of the nursing home.

At the end of the examinations, a final meeting was conducted to exchange information about the visit methods and works of the National Preventive Mechanisms of Turkey and Ukraine.
