HREIT Board Member Mehmet Emin Genç and the accompanying delegation conducted an unannounced monitoring visit to Bursa Provincial Police Department Detention Centre as part of its national preventive mechanism mandate on May 4, 2023.

During the visit, treatment to and accommodation conditions of the detainees were examined in the context of national and international standards.

As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
