The HREIT Delegation, headed by Vice Chairperson Yılmaz Bölükbaşı, conducted an unannounced visit to İzmir Removal Center in Çiğli District.

Within the scope of the visit, after a short preliminary meeting with the authorities of the Center, face-to-face interviews were held with the people deprived of their liberties. In addition, the common living and accommodation areas were examined.

As a result of the visit, report containing the assessments and recommendations regarding the examinations and interviews held during the visit will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
