HREIT and United Nations Subcommittee on the Prevention of Torture (SPT) conducted an unannouced joint visit to the Çankaya District Police Detention Centers on 13.09.2022 as part of national preventive mechanism of the HREIT. Within the scope of the unannounced visit, the treatment and accommodation conditions for detainees were examined in the context of compliance with national and international standards.

The assessments and recommendations regarding the examinations held during the visit was shared with the officers of the center.
